Rangers to earn £10million for Europa League qualification

Rangers are set to earn around £10million after they successfully qualified for the Europa League group stages, talkSPORT reports.

Steven Gerrard’s side secured their place in the tournament proper after a 2-1 aggregate victory on Thursday night over Russian side FC Ufa.

Despite having just nine men on the field at one point, Gerrard’s side battled to secure the win, a triumph that is set to see them receive £10million.

Rivals Celtic, Arsenal and Chelsea were also entered into the Europa League group stage draw which saw Rangers pulled out alongside Villareal, Spartak Moscow and Rapid Vienna.

Gerrard’s side will have a tough fight on their hands to make it out of the group stages but his side have made a promising start to the season, in both the League and in Europe.
