“Shocking that’s the main headline” – A lot of Rangers fans are unhappy with the Daily Record for making them the headline news on Monday.

Rangers beat Kilmarnock 2-1 in their opening game of the SPFL – and the Daily Record focused on the over-exuberant celebrations of the Gers fans.

Steven Gerrard’s side scored a stoppage-time goal to seal the win – and a lot of Rangers fans went crazy.

There was a pitch invasion – and the disabled shelter at Killie was destroyed in the carnage.

The Daily Record have made it out like this was a malicious act by some Rangers fans – when it wasn’t but it was irresponsible of those involved.

Others, meanwhile, point out that the paper is giving away a magazine called “Pitch Invader” – suggesting there is some contradiction in the paper’s message.
